Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
TapMap Daily ("the app", "we", "us") is published by Ropolabs. We built TapMap Daily so you can play a quick daily geography game. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run the game, never sell your personal data, and let you delete your data at any time.
1. Playing without an account
You can play the daily puzzle without creating an account. In that case we keep an anonymous device identifier so we can save your progress, coins, and streak on your device and server-side. No name or email is required to play.
2. What we collect
- Gameplay data: your daily results, scores, streak, coin balance, purchases, and settings.
- Account data (optional): if you sign in — with email, Apple, or Google — we store your email address and an account identifier so your progress syncs across devices.
- Device & technical data: a device/installation identifier, app version, and basic diagnostics used for saving progress, preventing fraud/abuse, and fixing crashes.
- Usage data: which screens you open and which features you use — for example starting a puzzle, opening the shop, or watching an ad — so we can see how the game is played and improve it. It is linked to your player identifier, not to your email address.
- Display name (optional): if you set one, it is shown to players you add as friends.
- Notifications (optional): if you allow notifications, we store your device's push token so we can send you notifications about the game. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
- Purchase data: a purchase/transaction identifier from Apple or Google used to verify and deliver your purchase. We never receive or store your card, bank, or UPI details.
3. How we use it
We use this information to run the game: deliver the daily puzzle, save your progress and coins, sync across devices, operate the leaderboard, verify purchases, show and (for paying users) remove ads, send the notifications you have allowed, prevent cheating and abuse, understand how the game is used so we can improve it, and provide support. We do not use your data to make decisions that produce legal effects about you.
4. Advertising
The free version of TapMap Daily is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, such as a device identifier, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), and how you interact with ads.
Your consent choices. If you are in a region where the law requires consent for advertising, such as the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, TapMap Daily shows Google's consent message before any ads are loaded. Your choice is stored on your device. You can play the whole game whatever you choose; if you do not consent, you may still see ads that are not personalised to you. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices.
Tracking, and your choice about it. On iPhone and iPad, TapMap Daily asks for your permission to use your device's advertising identifier, through Apple's standard "Allow Tracking" prompt. This identifier lets our advertising partner show you ads that are more relevant to you, and measure them, across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline — or never answer — Apple withholds that identifier, and you will see ads that are less relevant instead. The game itself is identical either way: nothing you can play, earn, buy or unlock depends on your answer. You can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
Buying Remove Ads, or having an active Pro subscription, turns ads off entirely. See Google's advertising policies and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
5. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it to train third-party AI models. We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate the game:
- Apple & Google — app distribution, payments, and purchase verification.
- Google AdMob — advertising in the free version, and the consent message described in section 4.
- Sentry — crash and error reports (what went wrong, plus your device model, operating system, and app version) so we can fix bugs. We configure it not to attach personal identifiers.
- Our hosting, sign-in, analytics & notification providers — to store game data, manage sign-in, measure how the game is used, and deliver notifications.
We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your installation or account is active. You can delete your data from within the app at any time: open Settings and tap Delete my account & data, or Delete my data if you play as a guest. You can also email privacy@ropolabs.com and we will delete it for you. On deletion we remove your personal data, subject to a short retention period where needed for legal, security, or anti-fraud purposes, after which it is purged. Purchase receipts are kept after deletion to prevent fraudulent re-use of past purchases. Purchases made before you delete your data cannot be restored afterwards, and deleting does not cancel a subscription: manage subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play settings.
7. Children
TapMap Daily is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@ropolabs.com.
Where you have given consent for advertising, you can withdraw it at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices. Withdrawing does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
